Role: Social Media Manager (Contract)
Location: Boston, MA 02114 (Traditional hybrid model with Fridays remote)
Duration: 8-Month Contract
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
About the Role
We’re looking for a
Digital Content Manager/Social Media Strategist
who lives and breathes culture, creativity, and community. This role is ideal for someone who has shaped social strategies for iconic brands and knows how to create scroll-stopping, social-first content that resonates with Gen Z audiences. You’ll be responsible for owning the brand voice across platforms, engaging global communities, and staying ahead of emerging social trends.
Non-Negotiables (Top 3 Skills)
5+ years of experience
in a senior or higher social media role working with top brands or companies such as New Balance, Reebok, NBA, etc.
Expert-level proficiency
in Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
Deep passion for and understanding of the client brand, with a strong pulse on social media trends and cultural moments.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development:
Conceptualize and create compelling, social-first content for key brand stories across Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
Platform Management:
Manage content distribution (scheduling and posting) across global social channels; maintain daily hygiene of all handles (bios, links, highlights, playlists, etc.).
Community Building & Management:
Engage with and grow social communities by monitoring, responding to, and interacting directly with followers.
Social Listening:
Track sentiment and trends across the social ecosystem, identifying opportunities to react and participate in real time.
Brand Voice:
Maintain and evolve the brand tone of voice (TOV) across platforms, ensuring consistency with brand positioning.
Relationship Management:
Collaborate with external partners (agencies) and internal teams including Brand, Creative, and Communications.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of today’s most influential social platforms and their role in
Gen Z culture .
A true internet junkie with strong awareness of streetwear, fashion, sports, art, music, and pop culture.
Proven experience managing brand social channels and executing best-in-class community engagement strategies.
Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt to and embody a brand’s TOV.
High creative standards, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Highly motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
