Commercial Credit Underwriter evaluates financial condition of existing and prospective individuals and businesses applying for credit with the Bank, determining credit worthiness. Prepares and reviews all supporting documentation for underwriting and recommends approval or rejection of credit requests. Commercial Credit Underwriter provides guidance to other Credit Underwriters within the department. Works independently analyzing complex loan data and financial information on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, other financial institutions and Bank files. Completes Credit Memo/Underwriting of requests for commercial credit, remote deposit capture, and ACH customers with the Bank. receivable and other information on customer accounts. Performs quarterly financial reviews identifying possible negative trends. Assigns risk ratings to each borrower of the bank. Provides technical support to loan officers and other credit underwriters. Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting. Three or more years of commercial credit analysis experience. Strong financial analytical abilities; Ability to quickly learn and properly use various software programs.
