Sr. Manufacturing Operations Manager (Elmwood Park)

Aegis is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our client's organization in Elmwood Park, IL. The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field. (or equivalent working experience) 5+ years’ experience within a manufacturing operations group 5+ years of leadership experience within a machine shop setting and manufacturing Experience leading 30+ direct reports – ideally across multiple verticals (maintenance, quality, machine, welding & sheet metal fabrication) Union experience Proficiency in CNC machining – this is the main environment they will be working in. Hiring, firing, disciplinary action experience. Able to communicate across functionally within all departments. Safety oriented manager.

Nice to have: Certifications (e.g., PMP, MBB, CPIM, CSCP) Low volume high mix experience Packaging equipment manufacturing experience Experience working for a small to medium sized companies. Experience with Gemba walks, lean manufacturing, or black belt.
