Import Supervisor (Dallas)

Our client, a Japanese Freight Forwarding company is looking for an Import supervisor to join their team

Title: Import Supervisor Industry: Logistics Type: Full Time Direct Hire Location: Dallas TX Salary: 60-70K

QUALIFICATIONS: At least 3+ years of Air import experience Experiences with air/ocean import freight release Basic computer skills Fork lift certification is helpful Advanced proficiency with excel Japanese language skills are a huge plus

JOB DUTIES: Preparing and submitting necessary documentation for customs clearance, including import/export declarations, invoices, and other required forms Calculating and ensuring the proper payment of customs duties, taxes, and fees on behalf of clients. Supervise, communicate and evaluate employee performance Analyze costs and profit goals and objectives to find improvement constantly Analyze all areas to improve and to implement to better management and operations Communicate with carriers and customers via telephone and email File documents in a timely matter Track shipments and provide updates for customers Coordinate delivery scheduling and ensure carrier compliance
