About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Thrive Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Mauston, Wisconsin, 53948!Job TitleWI ER RN - PT, 2 shifts per week, 7am-7pmCity/State: Mauston, WisconsinShift: 2 shifts per week, 7am-7pm, every 3rd weekend, holiday rotationContract Length: 12 weeksStart Date: 03/30/2026Job Description:The Registered Nurse position is responsible for coordinating the nursing care of patients presenting to the Emergency Department, ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric, who may present at any point on the continuum from illness to wellness. Performs all aspects of direct patient care and works with other disciplines/ancillary services in the care they provide.Responsibilities: Plans, implements, and evaluates all levels of patient care. Performs age-appropriate assessments and provides safe and effective care to all ages. Performs triage according to the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5 level triage process. Documents and maintains an ED record that is medically and legally acceptable. Collaborates with providers, peers, ancillary departments, and outside agencies. Coordinates the care needs of multiple patients and prioritizes patient care. Communicates patient needs and advocates for patients under care. Monitors life support and performs treatments including medication administration. Responds to crises efficiently and directs others concisely. Maintains equipment and supplies, ensuring rooms are stocked and checklists completed. Participates in educational experiences for emergency providers and students.Requirements: Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred. Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license. Current BLS, ACLS & PALS required within 1 year of hire. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
