Job Details
Responsibilities:
Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in Louisiana workers' compensation matters
Handle cases from inception through resolution, including hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence
Take and defend depositions, including claimant, medical, and expert depositions
Appear before Louisiana Office of Workers' Compensation (OWC) judges
Provide strategic legal advice and reporting to clients and carriers
Maintain organized case files and meet litigation deadlines
