Program Director, Cancer Clinical Trials Office

The University of Colorado Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Cancer Clinical Trials Office Program Director to provide leadership and oversight of oncology clinical trials operations within the Cancer Clinical Trials Office (CCTO). This role supports the Cancer Centerโs Cancer Protocol and Data Management (CPDM) component, which coordinates clinical research activities.
In collaboration with the Assistant Director of Clinical Research, CCTO Medical Director, and other research leadership, this position will oversee clinical trial activities conducted on the Anschutz Medical Campus, Denver Metro UCHealth sites, and regional UCHealth sites in Northern and Southern Colorado.

Essential Duties:
Enhance clinical research program results by improving administrative, operational, and financial performance, and resolving issues through independent judgment and decision-making.
Lead and coordinate CCTO operations, including pre-award budget development, contract routing, regulatory submissions, and trial implementation, across various systems and functions.
Improve the performance of the clinical trials management system (OnCore) and eREG processes; develop metrics to assess performance and advise on process improvements.
Participate in strategic decision-making as a member of the Clinical Research Leadership Team.
Maintain communication and collaboration with UCHealth Research Administration, UCHealth Oncology Service Line, and other relevant entities regarding clinical trial activities.
Collaborate with various leadership and administrative teams to meet clinical research goals outlined in the CU Cancer Center Support Grant (P30).
Develop partnerships with member institutions, pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and others to position CU Cancer Center as a leading clinical research site.
Support the growth of the Front Range Clinical Trials Network (FRCTN) by coordinating financial and regulatory processes for trial activation across UCHealth.
Work with finance teams to develop accurate budget and staffing projections, and create metrics to inform resource allocation and budget requests.
AACI events connect cancer center leadership with national research and advocacy groups, industry, and government agencies, providing event announcements as a member benefit.
