Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg orthopedic unit night shift position requiring charge capabilities, ortho experience, and Epic proficiency. Responsibilities Work in a medical surgical orthopedic unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes total joint replacements, orthopedic spine surgeries, and other orthopedic procedures Utilizes specialized equipment such as bladder scanners, Hoyer lifts, and orthopedic braces Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 Floating to other inpatient units such as rehab, post-op trauma, ortho neuro trauma, med-surg, oncology, and observation may be required Emergency event team assignment may occur as directed by the unit manager Must be able to function as a charge nurse as needed Must be comfortable participating in emergency or relief team assignments as required No on-call requirements for this role No more than 2 weeks of requested time off (RTO) may be accommodated Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided by the facility Requirements Active LA or compact RN license required Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg ortho nursing experience required Charge nurse experience and willingness to take charge is required Current AHA certifications: ACLS and BLS Epic EMR experience required Ortho specialty experience required No first-time travelers will be considered Candidates must live at least 65 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-667405.
