The Position This role will assume responsibility for key DSD grocery and club accounts in the Northeast and play a critical role in ensuring continuity, contract execution, and operational stability within the region. The ideal candidate has direct experience operating within a dairy DSD model and has managed customer relationships at regional grocery accounts in the Northeast. This is a hands-on commercial operations role with significant customer exposure.

Reporting Relationship This role reports directly to the Sales Director in New England

Key Responsibilities 1. Dairy DSD Account & Operational Leadership Manage assigned Northeast DSD accounts with full ownership of performance. Demonstrate deep understanding of Dairy DSD operating models, including route-to-market structure, replenishment cadence, shelf-life management, and shrink control. Oversee forecasting, inventory flow, and service level performance. Identify and proactively mitigate spoilage, cold-chain, and supply risks. Operate effectively in a volatile commodity pricing environment.

2. Contract & Commercial Management Own execution of customer contracts, pricing structures, service expectations, and program commitments. Ensure compliance with contractual terms, including service levels, promotional obligations, and pricing adjustments. Partner with leadership on contract renewals, pricing communication, and margin protection. Monitor account-level profitability and P&L impact. Lead preparation and execution of annual business reviews Manage promotional planning, trade investments, and financial reconciliation

3. Cross-Functional Operational Integration Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and customer success teams to ensure seamless execution. Align demand forecasting with operational capacity. Lead rapid issue resolution when service disruptions occur. Support process documentation and continuous improvement across DSD operations. 4. Customer Relationship Management Serve as primary point of contact for assigned buyers and category managers. Maintain strong working relationships with key Northeast customers, including: Stop & Shop Hannaford BJ's Wholesale Club Market Basket Communicate proactively during supply constraints or market shifts. Build trust through reliability, transparency, and operational competence. 5. Organizational Stability & Knowledge Transfer Partner closely with senior team members to transition and retain institutional knowledge. Provide cross-coverage to reduce key-person dependency within the Northeast DSD business. Support onboarding and training as the commercial organization scales. 6. Selective Growth Support Identify incremental distribution or mix opportunities within existing accounts. Support measured new account development in Northeast markets when appropriate.
