Bankruptcy Paralegal – Now Hiring - Miami, FL Are you an experienced bankruptcy paralegal looking to take the next step in your career? Top Tier law firm seeks a detail-oriented, proactive professional to support complex Chapter 11 matters and play a key role in high-impact client work. Responsibilities Prepare, file, and serve pleadings in Florida and federal bankruptcy courts nationwide; track related deadlines and ensure timely compliance Interpret and apply local court rules, practices, and procedures; assist attorneys with jurisdiction-specific requirements Manage case calendars, task lists, and critical date trackers; maintain organized files for complex Chapter 11 matters Prepare bankruptcy schedules and statements of financial affairs, including amended petitions, using BestCase Draft and file proofs of claim; monitor claim activity and support attorneys during the claims reconciliation process Prepare court filings including retention applications, fee applications, and other case-related pleadings Maintain accurate billable time records; review billing entries and assist in preparing fee applications and supporting documentation Review loan documents and highlight key issues for attorneys Order title updates, copy work materials, and obtain certificates of good standing from courts and vendors Monitor and review court dockets; summarize and distribute key filings and updates Assemble, process, and review document productions Provide support for hearings and trials, including document organization and logistical assistance Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required (paralegal certificate a plus) Minimum three years of substantive bankruptcy experience, ideally within a law firm Strong knowledge of bankruptcy procedures, Chapter 11 practice, and federal/local court rules Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a high-volume environment This position offers a salary range of $70,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience.
