This is a key leadership role reporting directly to executive leadership and serving as the subject matter expert for Environmental, Health & Safety across all facilities.
They are seeking a senior-level EHS professional who has built and written safety programs from the ground up, understands multi-site operations, and can drive compliance while fostering a culture of accountability and safety excellence.
Position Overview
The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager will oversee and manage all EHS programs across four plant locations. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, auditing, and continuously improving environmental and safety programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and field presence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, write, and implement comprehensive safety programs across all facilities
Oversee environmental compliance including air, water, waste, and reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable regulatory agencies
Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses
Conduct investigations related to incidents, near misses, and regulatory concerns
Develop corrective action plans and track completion
Oversee workers’ compensation and injury trend analysis
Manage safety training programs and ensure required certifications are current
Serve as primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and agency communication
Standardize EHS procedures across four plant locations
Partner with plant leadership to drive a proactive safety culture
Qualifications
Senior-level EHS leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial, agriculture, food processing, or related environments
Proven experience writing and implementing formal safety programs
Multi-site oversight experience strongly preferred
Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards
Strong experience with audits, reporting, and regulatory inspections
Demonstrated ability to influence plant leadership and drive accountability
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
