Rotating 12-hour shifts - Night schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, typically 3 shifts/week (Night 3x12). May rotate to day shifts based on department priorities; shift assignments assessed every 4-week scheduling period. Weekend coverage: every other / every third weekend as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities
Assess, triage and prioritize emergency patients quickly and safely to improve outcomes
Deliver hands-on emergency nursing care including IV starts, medication administration and telemetry monitoring
Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias, including initiating ACLS protocols when needed
Provide compassionate oncology-focused care within the ED setting, addressing unique patient needs
Document thoroughly and efficiently in Epic to ensure clear, accurate patient records
Collaborate with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy and social services to coordinate patient care
Manage critical interventions such as IV vasopressors, blood product administration and ventilator support
Support unit functioning by floating as required and contributing to a positive team culture
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience - HARD STOP (required)
Epic (EHR) experience - required
Certifications: BCLS/BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and PALS (current)
Strong IV skills including starting and maintaining IVs and experience with phlebotomy
Telemetry / cardiac monitoring experience and ability to interpret dysrhythmias
Comfort working with oncology patients and familiarity with blood product administration and central line care preferred
Education
Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
Emergency nursing principles and triage workflows
IV therapy, phlebotomy and central line care
Cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation and ACLS protocols
Epic charting and electronic documentation best practices
Management of ventilated patients and BiPAP/CPAP support
Interpretation of ABGs and experience with IV vasopressors
Strong critical thinking, prioritization and teamwork in high-acuity settings
Familiarity with isolation precautions, PPE and emergency response procedures
