An opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide services in an elementary school setting located in White Rock, NM. This full-semester contract position requires delivering support to a K-8 caseload with approximately 34 students. This role involves working five days per week, collaborating closely with educators and other support staff to help students achieve their developmental and academic goals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs across grades K-8. Implement occupational therapy interventions tailored to help students improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within the educational environment. Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve positive educational outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation, adhering to school policies and regulatory standards. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Occupational Therapy license and certification. Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with K-8 student populations. Strong knowledge of educational laws and regulations related to special education and therapy services. Ability to manage a caseload effectively, balancing direct therapy, consultation, and documentation. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
