Job Description

Deposit Operations Assistant Manager

Step into a key leadership role within our Deposit Operations team. As the Assistant Manager, you’ll partner closely with key leadership to drive operational excellence, streamline processes, support critical payment channels, and ensure every function meets regulatory and internal control standards. From ACH and wires to debit card and mobile deposit systems, you’ll help oversee the engine that keeps our bank running smoothly.

What You’ll Do Champion process improvements by identifying automation opportunities and reducing manual work. Support regulatory and operational audits, including the annual ACH review. Manage daily production across deposit channels—ACH, wires, debit cards, mRDC, merchant capture, check processing, and exception items. Develop and maintain clear documentation, procedural updates, controls, and departmental training. Oversee general ledger reconciliations, escheatment, charge-off reporting, and account correction workflows. Serve as a key escalation point for debit card processing, fraud review, returns, NOCs, adjustments, and dispute resolution. Provide reliable backup support for Online Banking and other deposit operation functions. Ensure accurate and timely processing of wires, returns, OFAC/IAT reviews, ATM and network settlements, EFTPS activity, and customer account notices. Monitor obituary notices for benefit-return management and coordinate with correspondent banks or the Fed for adjustments. Review daily branch maintenance reports and take action where needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.

What You Bring High school diploma required; college degree preferred. 5–7 years of banking experience, ideally within Deposit Operations. Supervisory experience and a strong understanding of ACH, item processing, debit card disputes, and GL reconciliation. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and sound judgment. Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Fiserv Precision is a plus. AAP certification is preferred but not required.
