Protective Services Officer (Hiring Immediately)

Description: Atalco Gramercy Operations is the leading producer of Alumina in the United States. Our Gramercy refinery produces 1.2 million tons a year of smelter grade alumina (SGA) for the production of aluminum as well as chemical grade alumina (CGA) which is used in a wide array of industrial applications.

We are currently seeking 2 Security Guards for our Gramercy, LA refinery.

Job Summary/Objective The overall duty of a Security Guard is to protect Atalco’s property, employees, and visitors.

Essential Functions Inspect, patrol, and monitor activities including the gates on the company’s premises regularly and ensure the environment is safe and secure Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocols Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner and test security systems when needed. Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner Performing CPR or first aid when needed Work Environment External – Working outside in the elements – rain, cold, heat – dusty environment. Internally – Office environment.

Qualifications Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook. Good oral and written communication skills. Team player works effectively and cooperatively with others. Actively shares knowledge and skills with others. Education/Training Requirements High school diploma or equivalent
