Job Description
Catering & Events Coordinator
North Dallas Area | Hybrid | 25–35 hours per week
$22–26/hour + overtime as needed
(In-office at least 3 days per week. Event attendance required.)
About the Role We are a growing wedding and corporate catering company based in North Dallas looking for a
Catering & Events Coordinator
with real event experience.
This is not an entry-level role. We are busy and need someone who understands how weddings and catered events actually work. If you’ve worked at a venue, catering company, or as an event planner, this will feel familiar.
This role sits between sales and execution. Once an event is booked, you help carry it across the finish line.
What You Can Expect From Us
A fast-moving events business where your work directly impacts real events
Clear systems and structure (Honeybook, BEO workflows, organized files)
Leadership that communicates directly and values accountability
Autonomy once you’ve demonstrated judgment
Family meals on in-office days
Eligibility for paid time off after six months
Reimbursement for approved relationship visits and drop-offs
A team that values calm execution over drama
What We Need From You
Required: Prior experience in catering, weddings, venue coordination, or event planning.
We are not in a position to train someone from scratch.
You will be responsible for:
Managing client communication after booking
Confirming menus, guest counts, allergies, rentals, linens, and staffing details
Preparing and updating BEOs
Reconciling planner timelines against internal documents
Conducting final event recap calls 20–30 days before events
Coordinating with venues, planners, rental companies, and vendors
Creating menus, place cards, and event materials in Canva
Ensuring all rental orders tied to proposals are placed and confirmed
Attending assigned events to check in with clients and represent the company
Maintaining organized Google Drive folders and event files
Following up with completed events for feedback and reviews
Supporting corporate relationship touchpoints (venue visits, brochure drops, goodie boxes)
What This Role Is Not
Not a sales role
Not a full event manager with staffing authority
Not fully remote
Not a “learn the industry from scratch” position
This role rewards people who:
Like structure
Close loops without being chased
Stay calm when details shift
Communicate professionally under pressure
Can balance urgency with judgment
Personality Fit We value:
Emotional maturity
Professional tone
Accountability without blame
Comfort asking questions instead of assuming
The ability to move quickly without creating friction
If you get frustrated easily by process, hierarchy, or collaboration, this will not be a good fit.
