Baker Manufacturing Company LLC Job Description — HR ASSISTANT (Part-Time) Department: Human Resources Reports To: HR Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Schedule: Monday - Friday | Approximately 6 hours per day (30 hours/week) Pay Range: $20.00 -22.00 per hour Work Arrangement: 30-40 hours per week-Hybrid-Needs to be flexible to be at the office 2-3 days per week (days of the will rotate based on candidate needs). Will need to be in office full-time for first month for training purposes. Flexible on hours worked each day (7 am - 6 pm). Position Summary Baker Manufacturing Company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Assistant to support our growing workforce, primarily focused on recruiting for hourly manufacturing positions, onboarding and coordination. Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply. This role will lead day-to-day recruiting activities while also helping build and maintain our Paylocity HRIS recruiting and onboarding system. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, creating templates and tools, and helping candidates have a positive hiring experience. When recruiting activity is lighter, the role will assist the HR team with onboarding support and administrative HR tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing employee records. Essential Responsibilities Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing and support roles for all locations Post and maintain job openings in Paylocity and external job boards Screen candidates and coordinate interviews with supervisors Communicate with applicants throughout the hiring process Maintain candidate pipelines and track recruiting metrics Support hiring managers with interview preparation and feedback collection HRIS & System Development (Paylocity) Assist in building and maintaining recruiting and onboarding workflows in Paylocity Create templates, forms, and automated communications for applicants Update and maintain job descriptions Help develop onboarding processes and digital documentation Create instructional materials (guides, videos, etc.) for hiring managers and applicants Support continuous improvement of HRIS processes and user experience Onboarding & HR Support Assist with new hire onboarding as needed Maintain and update company communication TVs and digital announcement boards Prepare employee documentation and personnel files Scan, organize, and maintain HR records Support general HR administrative tasks during slower recruiting periods Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of recruiting, HR, or HRIS experience Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable learning and working within HR systems and technology Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Professional communication with candidates and employees Preferred Bilingual Spanish-speaking Experience recruiting in manufacturing or hourly workforce environments Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/ATS platforms Experience creating templates, workflows, or process documentation Basic experience with video or training content creation Skills & Competencies Attention to detail Process-oriented mindset Customer-service approach to candidate interactions Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Continuous improvement mindset Strong follow-through and organization Work Environment This position works primarily in an office cubicle setting within a professional office environment, with occasional interaction in manufacturing areas as needed.
