Associate Attorney (Los Angeles County)

Overview

Kjar, McKenna & Stockalper (KMS) is seeking experienced insurance defense attorneys ready to elevate their careers and build toward partnership. Our practice includes complex

medical malpractice and elder abuse defense , representing major healthcare systems, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other institutional clients, as well as entertainment venues and government agencies.

At KMS, attorneys are in the courtroom trying cases; not just managing files. High performers progress quickly, develop their own book of business, and ultimately lead teams of associates, legal assistants, and paralegals.

Qualifications 3-5+ years' experience (insurance defense) Proven experience handling cases involving excessive force and constitutional violations is a plus Litigation and trial experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities Conduct legal research, handle discovery and analyze medical and employment records. Frequently handle court appearances, depositions and meetings. Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

Pay range and compensation package

At this time, we are offering all new attorneys a $5,000 signing bonus to start.

We offer a competitive salary and benefit package, performance and billing bonuses along with annual reviews. We offer flexible office hours with no cap on vacation days. Our attorneys have a flexible schedule that allows for some remote work, although most do come into the office.
