Required Skills: Board Certification in Anesthesiology; willing to consider truly board-eligible candidates with fellowship training Minimum of 2 years of anesthesiology experience, preferably at tertiary care centers Recent practice experience (within the last 2-3 years) with a mix of outpatient and inpatient surgical cases Ability to work independently in a solo capacity and adapt to floating between facilities Experience or interest in high acuity cases (ASA 3) is preferred Valid CA state medical license, DEA registration (Schedule 2/2n), and active BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA standards) Proficiency with EPIC EMR system Nice to Have Skills: Regional anesthesia expertise Experience working with CRNAs Interest in working across multiple facilities, including high acuity inpatient and outpatient settings Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO from an accredited institution Residency in Anesthesiology completed successfully Recent experience in a tertiary hospital setting with high patient acuity Other Requirements: Ability to support a flexible schedule, including at least 2 weeks per month Willingness to work on federal and state licensure when necessary Must pass credentialing within 60-90 days Ability to obtain references from previous employers Compensation: Hourly Pay Rate: $351.00 (All-inclusive) Shift: Day, 5x10-Hour shifts (07:00 – 17:00) Contract Duration: Starting 04/06/2026 for 26 weeks Benefits include competitive pay packages, weekly direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage (W-2), referral bonuses, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements, paid sick leave, and holiday pay at 1.5x rates for major holidays VHS is committed to supporting your success with a dedicated team and a rewarding work environment.
