Overview
We are seeking a strong IT Business Analyst to join a Data team supporting enterprise-wide initiatives across life sciences organizations. This role will partner with stakeholders across multiple business units — including Finance, HR, Manufacturing, and Clinical — to translate business needs into scalable data and AI-driven solutions.
While life sciences experience is highly valued, the priority is a strong, well-rounded Business Analyst who can operate effectively in complex, cross-functional environments and support data-centric initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders across business units (Finance, HR, Manufacturing, Clinical, Commercial) to gather, document, and refine business and functional requirements.
Translate business needs into clear data, reporting, analytics, and AI/ML requirements.
Support enterprise data initiatives including data integration, data governance, reporting modernization, and AI use case development.
Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to identify opportunities for automation, predictive analytics, and operational insights.
Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and IT teams to ensure requirements are well-defined and technically feasible.
Develop process maps, user stories, BRDs/FRDs, and data flow documentation.
Assist with UAT planning, test case development, and validation of data solutions.
Support change management and stakeholder adoption of new analytics and AI tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile
5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting enterprise systems or data initiatives.
Strong experience working on data-driven projects (data warehouses, reporting tools, dashboards, AI/ML initiatives).
Comfortable working across diverse domains (financial data, HR systems, manufacturing operations, clinical data environments).
Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
Experience translating complex data concepts into clear business language.
Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or similar platforms is a plus.
Prior experience in life sciences (pharma, biotech, med device) preferred but not required.
