CosmosDB Conversion Developer (Austin)

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Conversion Developer with hands-on experience in Azure Cosmos DB (Gremlin API) to support the migration and transformation of graph-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting existing database systems (RDBMS/NoSQL/Graph) into Cosmos DB using Gremlin, optimizing graph queries, and ensuring high performance and scalability. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement graph data models using Azure Cosmos DB – Gremlin API Convert and migrate data from relational or other NoSQL databases into Cosmos DB graph structures Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Gremlin queries Develop ETL/ELT pipelines for data transformation and migration Perform performance tuning and indexing strategies for graph workloads Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and application teams Ensure data integrity, scalability, and security best practices Document technical designs, conversion logic, and deployment procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB (Gremlin API) Deep understanding of graph database concepts (vertices, edges, traversals) Proficiency in Gremlin traversal language Experience in database migration/conversion projects Strong knowledge of data modeling and schema design for graph databases
