Roles & Responsibilities Administer and monitor chemotherapy safely and follow ONS chemo certification protocols Provide expert telemetry monitoring and interpretation to quickly identify dysrhythmias Start and maintain IVs, manage PICC/central lines and safely administer blood products Implement and champion infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention strategies Use EPIC for accurate, timely charting and communicate abnormal labs and trends Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Pharmacy, PT, Respiratory, Social Services) to coordinate patient care Respond to Rapid Response Teams and manage oncologic emergencies with composure Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side-effect management and post-chemotherapy care

Qualifications Active RN license (state of practice) with at least 2 years of nursing experience Minimum 1 year of CURRENT hematology/oncology specialty experience required (must meet experience requirements within the most recent 3 years) Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers: NO Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemo Cert NIHSS preferred Experience with EPIC (electronic charting) required Comfort with 12-hour shifts and flexible scheduling; ability to float to other MedSurg Oncology units Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline

Knowledge & Skills Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias IV therapy, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining peripheral IVs Central line/PICC care, central line blood draws and port access/management Blood product administration and post-transfusion monitoring Chemotherapy administration, body fluid handling and monitoring Oncologic emergencies management including sepsis and tumor lysis recognition Familiarity with Alaris pumps, GE telemetry/B450 monitors and bladder scanners Strong infection prevention practices and patient falls prevention
