GCP DevOps / Platform Engineer (Dallas)

GCP Cloud Platform/Devops Engineer Remote 3 Months + Contract

The Cloud Platform / DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines and managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role focuses on infrastructure provisioning, platform reliability, automation, and secure deployment of cloud native workloads. The engineer will work closely with application, data, and security teams to ensure scalable, resilient, and observable platforms across environments. Terraform build experience. Google Cloud Platform. Infrastructure as Code. Google cloud build. Key responsibilities include CI/CD pipeline creation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GKE cluster operations, and managing core GCP services such as Pub/Sub, API Gateway, logging, and monitoring. Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of new technologies and systems. Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards. Provide technical support to end-users, addressing and resolving any IT-related issues in a timely manner. Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance system performance and security. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as an IT Systems Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server administration, and system security. Proficient in implementing and managing virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their associated services.
