Position Summary The Clinical Director provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role oversees clinical operations, supervises clinical staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with executive leadership to drive growth, quality, and efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction for all clinical services and ophthalmic programs Serve as a member of the Practice Executive Team, contributing to strategic, financial, and operational decision-making Establish and maintain clinical policies, protocols, and standards of ophthalmic care Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff Monitor clinical quality metrics, patient outcomes, and satisfaction Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and service expansion Oversee clinical budgets, staffing models, and resource allocation Lead quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety initiatives Serve as a clinical liaison with physicians, vendors, and community partners

Qualifications Certified ophthalmic technician or assistant required Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive clinical leadership experience Demonstrated ophthalmic or eye-care clinical experience

(ophthalmology or optometry) Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and best practices Proven ability to lead teams and manage change in a clinical environment Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Experience with EMR/EHR systems and data-driven decision-making

Preferred Qualifications Experience in multi-site or specialty medical practices Demonstrated success in quality improvement and operational optimization
