Job Description
AUTOMATE THE PROCESS. BUILD WHAT’S NEXT.
We’re searching for a
Process Engineer | Automation Support
who thrives at the intersection of engineering design and hands-on manufacturing. This role is built for someone who doesn’t just design solutions; they build, test, refine, and improve them on the production floor. The Process Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency through automation, fixture design, and hands-on process optimization. This role supports production by designing, building, and implementing practical automation solutions that increase throughput, improve repeatability, and reduce manual labor.
This is a highly collaborative, on-site role that blends mechanical design, CAD/CAM programming, fabrication, robotics support, PLC troubleshooting, and 3D printing into real-world manufacturing impact.
What You’ll Do:
Design automation fixtures, tooling, and mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks
Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings
Program and support CNC machining operations using Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software
Utilize 3D printing to develop functional fixtures and tooling solutions
Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, and production teams to ensure manufacturable, cost-effective designs
Participate in hands-on fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing of automation solutions
Manage small to mid-sized projects from concept through implementation
Identify and execute process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve product consistency
Troubleshoot and support robotics and PLC-controlled equipment

What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
4+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or automation support
Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software
Experience with Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM platforms
Hands-on experience with CNC mills, CNC routers, and 3D printing equipment
Ability to work effectively in a production-floor environment
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Bonus Skills:
Experience programming or troubleshooting industrial robots
Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
Background in high-volume manufacturing
Experience supporting continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives
Experience retrofitting or improving legacy automation equipment
