About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Human Resources & Occupational Health & Safety Lead
to support two manufacturing facilities. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role responsible for aligning HR strategy, workforce planning, and safety performance with operational objectives.
Reporting directly to the Director of HR and partnering closely with plant leadership, this individual will serve as the on-site HR and Safety leader, ensuring regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and continuous improvement across both locations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a progressive manufacturing environment and enjoys balancing people leadership with safety and compliance oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Leadership
Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried manufacturing roles
Partner with plant leadership on workforce planning and staffing strategies
Oversee onboarding, orientation, and employee integration processes
Manage employee relations, investigations, coaching, and disciplinary processes
Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives
Administer benefits, leave management, and HR compliance documentation
Maintain HRIS records and prepare Monthly Operating Reports (MORs)
Ensure alignment with corporate HR policies and cross-border initiatives
Operational & Organizational Support
Support attendance management and workforce stability initiatives
Assist with change management and organizational development efforts
Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide guidance on policy interpretation and compliance during operational decisions
Facilitate training programs aligned with production and safety requirements
Support payroll processing for U.S. employees, as needed
Occupational Health & Safety Leadership
Coordinate and implement plant safety programs and procedures
Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable U.S. safety regulations
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
Monitor and report on safety KPIs
Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting
Maintain safety documentation and records
Lead joint safety committees and promote proactive risk mitigation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4 or more years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting plant or assembly operations preferred
Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and occupational safety regulations
HRIS proficiency and strong Microsoft Office skills
Experience in multi-site environments required; cross-border exposure preferred
Lean Manufacturing knowledge considered an asset
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage both leadership and hourly workforce
Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and implement practical solutions
Adaptable and effective in a dynamic, evolving environment
Willingness to travel between PA and GA facilities once a quarter; occasional travel to Canada
French and/or Spanish language skills are considered a plus.
