Arbitrator (Matteson)

Job Title: Arbitrator Location: Matteson, IL (Hybrid) Duration: 6+ Months Contract with possible extension

Arbitration Specialist – Automotive We are seeking an experienced Arbitration Specialist to review customer complaints and vehicle condition reports, inspect vehicles, and mediate disputes between buyers and sellers. This role ensures compliance with auction policies and federal/state regulations while working to achieve fair and timely resolutions that support vehicle sales retention.

Key Responsibilities: Review complaints, mechanic reports, and inspect vehicles as needed Mediate disputes and negotiate repair or pricing resolutions Manage arbitration cases and maintain accurate documentation Advise customers on auction policies and arbitration processes Coordinate with internal departments and external authorities when necessary Oversee post-sale inspections and buyer claims Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory standards

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required 3–5 years of automotive, mechanical, or body shop experience preferred Knowledge of vehicle arbitration laws and regulations
