Requirements:

Active RN license in the practicing state.

BLS required; ACLS preferred or required depending on facility.

Prior experience in endoscopy, GI lab, PACU, or procedural nursing preferred.

Strong assessment, IV skills, and ability to monitor sedation.

Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for endoscopic and special procedures, including assessments and education.

Assist physicians during procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, ERCP, and other interventions.

Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and safety throughout the procedure.

Administer medications and moderate sedation per protocol.

Provide post-procedure recovery care and discharge instructions.

Maintain equipment, ensure proper infection control, and uphold safety standards.

Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
