Litigation Attorney (Fort Myers)

Arend & Sisk PA is seeking a motivated litigation attorney to join our busy civil litigation practice. This is an in-person position at our Fort Myers office, however our practice is throughout southwest Florida and travel to court events is required.

Experience and Skills Required Admitted to the Florida Bar Minimum of 2 years' experience practicing law in the state of Florida Proficient in technology including Microsoft, Zoom, Teams and online research databases Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences Ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgment in conducting legal research, interpreting and applying laws and preparing legal documents Strong analytic skills including proof reading, thorough editing and attention to detail Must be a self-starter and goal-oriented with a focus on long-term career goals

Responsibilities Day-to-day handling of litigation cases with excellent customer service skills as we guide clients through the case process Attend client meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations and negotiate settlements Draft/review substantive pleadings and motions Respond to motions and discovery Prepare cases and present material clearly and logically, both verbally and written
