Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

BLS and ACLS certification required.

Previous experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or critical care preferred.

Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Knowledge of cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and relevant procedures.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to CVU patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring.

Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient response to interventions.

Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams for patient care planning.

Educate patients and families about cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions.

Document all patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.

Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including emergencies.

Follow CVU policies, protocols, and safety standards.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
