(Must be flexible to work restaurant-friendly hours including early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends)
Position Overview
The In-Person Sales Development Representative (SDR) serves as the first point of contact between DoorDash and local restaurant partners. This field-based role focuses on visiting restaurants in person, building rapport with owners and decision-makers, educating them on the value of partnering with DoorDash, and booking qualified meetings for Outside Account Executives.
This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in face-to-face selling, enjoy being on the road, and are motivated by measurable performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects within assigned territory weekly.
Identify and connect with owners or key decision-makers.
Deliver a compelling pitch on how DoorDash helps restaurants grow orders and reach new customers.
Secure qualified meetings for Outside Account Executives.
Log all visits, conversations, and outcomes in Salesforce and other sales tools.
Partner with Outside Account Executives on target accounts and follow-up strategies.
Manage daily routes to maximize meeting bookings and productivity.
Follow up via phone, text, and email to confirm scheduled meetings.
Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs (meetings set, meetings held, revenue impact).
Provide market feedback to improve messaging and product offerings.
Required Qualifications
1+ year of experience in:
Outbound sales
Field sales
Canvassing
Field marketing
Retail, hospitality, or service industry roles with new business generation
Comfortable with high-volume, in-person conversations daily.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to clearly articulate value propositions.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently in the field.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to travel frequently within assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
Restaurant, food & beverage, or local business experience.
Experience in performance-driven sales environments.
