Instructional Designer

Duties

Designs, develops and implements learning and development programs/initiatives. Works in partnership with department colleagues, subject matter experts and department leaders. Plans and implements the instructional design to ensure the learning solution is effective and engaging.

Designs and develops eLearning, videos vILT, ILT, and performance support materials, utilizing instructional design best practices. Analyzes and creates content based on customers' needs. Actively consults and collaborates with the department team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure learning solutions are instructionally sound, applicable, engaging and effective. Creates effective pre- and post-learning assessments aligned with training objectives—to successfully measure effectiveness and the transfer of knowledge. Stays current on all learning, learning experience design, and talent development trends. Establishes respectful working relationships to maximize teamwork.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in instructional design, curriculum and design, adult education, or instructional technology, or a related field is required; Master's degree preferred. Three to five years of experience implementing adult learning principles in a corporate training, or professional services environment, with an emphasis on elearning and instructor-led training. Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe PhotoShop, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PeopleSoft.
