Pay:
$24.00 – $28.00 per hour
Schedule:
40 hours per week
Assigned Shift:
Saturday: 0600–1800
Sunday: 0600–1800
Monday: 1200–0000
Wednesday: 1600–2000
Position Summary
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator plays a critical role in protecting client personnel, facilities, and operations through real-time monitoring, incident assessment, and coordinated response actions. Operating within a professional security environment, the SOC Operator serves as the frontline analyst responsible for identifying potential risks, managing security events, and ensuring timely escalation when required.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor enterprise physical security systems including access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance platforms.
Analyze alarms, alerts, and operational data to determine threat validity and required response actions.
Execute established incident response procedures to mitigate risk and ensure operational continuity.
Perform first-tier incident triage, troubleshooting, and escalation in accordance with SOC protocols.
Maintain accurate, professional documentation of incidents, actions taken, and follow-up requirements.
Coordinate with field personnel, client representatives, and internal stakeholders during active events.
Maintain continuous situational awareness across monitored environments.
Support response efforts during real-world incidents and operational disruptions.
Contribute to a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement within the SOC.
Required Qualifications
Working knowledge of computer operating systems and basic network concepts.
Familiarity with physical security technologies such as access control systems, alarm monitoring, or video management systems.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in time-sensitive situations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in a technical security environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), GSOC, dispatch, emergency communications, or monitoring environment.
Background in corporate security, critical infrastructure protection, or operations support.
Exposure to incident management platforms or security information/event monitoring systems.
Associate degree or relevant professional certifications in security, criminal justice, information technology, or related fields.
