The Custom Woven Product Development Manager is an integral member of our Custom Studio, the team that brings our clients’ design vision to life. The role reports to the VP of Design and collaborates with the Program Development Lead to develop custom woven upholstery, drapery, sheer, blackout, and bedding fabrics for hotel projects and brand standards. This position offers a fast-paced, hands-on opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality custom textile products for hotel brands worldwide. The ideal candidate is adept at communicating with internal and external stakeholders, anticipating issues, and managing expectations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO! Sourcing Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers worldwide. Leverage a deep understanding of mill capabilities to initiate custom woven product development and facilitate projects. Demonstrate extensive supply chain expertise to identify the best mills and suppliers for solutions that optimize performance, quality, aesthetics, color, price, and lead time.

Product Development Enter, update, track, and communicate custom project information in Salesforce (CRM), including pricing, delivery status, and product data. Initiate testing as required, according to performance standards and codes for contract textiles. Work with Operations on costing, completing product data sheets, and generating POs. Create, ship, and follow up on samples. Communicate and follow up with suppliers and the internal team on project and product information and status. Provide weekly project status updates for hotel brand fabrics in development with sales reps, clients, and suppliers.

Provide direction and mentorship to Studio interns. ·

Maintain physical and digital project files. ·

Manage custom archives. ·

Liaise with the product development team to stay up to date on the in-line product pipeline. ·

Oversee annual and ongoing sustainability data tracking, recording, and submission to MindClick for assessment.

WHAT YOU BRING! ·

3-7 years in a product development or project management role ·

Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal stakeholders across departments, suppliers, and clients ·

Outstanding project management skills; ability to optimize and maintain project organization across platforms, including email, SharePoint, Salesforce, Smartsheet, and employee management systems ·

Familiarity with CRM or project management software, Salesforce, and Smartsheet ·

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) ·

Sustainability tracking, recording, and reporting experience ·

Understanding of contract textiles, performance requirements, testing, and finishing

WHAT WE'D LIKE YOU TO BRING! ·

Experience with project and data tracking, updating, and report generation using Smartsheet ·

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and NED graphics ·

Familiarity with MindClick sustainability data tracking and submission ·

Woven and print textile design and construction knowledge ·

Bilingual / Fluent in Spanish or Mandarin ·

Understanding of AI design tools, including best practices and limitations

WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION! Full-time position Hybrid schedule includes four days in the office Monday-Thursday; Friday is remote work day. Midtown NYC office on Park Ave

WHAT WE OFFER!

Salary: $80,000-90,000 base salary, depending on breadth of experience and knowledge relevant to the position. This position is eligible for an end-of-year, performance-based discretionary bonus .
