Pharmacy Operations Manager - Hospital Pharmacy Leadership

Salary Range: $165k–$185k (varies depending on years of experience)

About the Role The Pharmacy Operations Manager will guide day-to-day inpatient pharmacy operations while supporting quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This individual will play a key role in ensuring efficient medication distribution, staff coordination, and process improvement across the department.

This is a full-time, day-shift leadership position within a modern hospital pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities Direct daily hospital pharmacy operations, including workflow coordination and productivity oversight Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff; assign responsibilities to maintain efficiency and service standards Ensure accuracy and safety in medication preparation, dispensing, packaging, and distribution Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations governing hospital pharmacy practice Partner with leadership on departmental scheduling, payroll review, and staffing optimization Support pharmacy informatics initiatives and operational technology improvements Identify opportunities to enhance patient safety and streamline pharmacy processes Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high-quality patient care

Qualifications Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy (PharmD or equivalent) Active New York State Pharmacist license 3–5 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting Prior supervisory or administrative experience strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
