As a

Material Handler , also known as a

Returnable Plastic Container (RPC) Sorter , you’ll get to hand sort a container weighing about 10 ounces that issued to ship produce, eggs, meat, and other goods onto pallets for manufacturers. This is a vital role for our sites to ensure we maintain a high level of efficiency and accuracy of performance!

Hourly Pay: $16.00 /hr. Shift(s): 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM Location: Olney, IL 62450 What You'll Do Hand stack RPC’s on pallets to appropriate height, following inventory control instructions

Examine products for quality standards

Ensure all trash and debris is removed prior to returning to customer

Wrap sorted pallets and secure for shipment

Move pallets, or materials on pallets or in crates, around the storage facility

Accurately complete all paperwork to track daily progress

Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager regularly

What You'll Need

High school degree or GED required

Excellent oral and written communication skills needed

Ability to work overtime when needed

Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths

The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
