Requirements:

Active RN license in the practicing state.

BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Experience in perioperative or PACU nursing preferred.

Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

Assess and prepare patients for surgery, including reviewing medical history and vitals.

Monitor patients in PACU after surgery, managing pain and recovery from anesthesia.

Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.

Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records.

Educate patients and families on preoperative and postoperative care.

Follow infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
