School Nurse (RN)

Position Overview Phaxis Education is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN)

to support one of our local schools in MD. The nurse will provide both direct medical care and collaborative support within the educational setting, including participation in evaluations and IEP meetings.

Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students, including: Diabetes management (blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration as applicable) Tube feeding and related medical supports Participate in

evaluations, IEP meetings, and care planning

for students with special needs Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, therapists, and administration Maintain accurate health documentation and ensure compliance with school health regulations Serve as a medical resource for staff and families

Qualifications Active

Registered Nurse (RN)

license in Maryland Previous

school nursing

or

pediatric/special education

experience preferred Experience with: Diabetes care, Tube feedings, Medically complex students Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to work independently in a school-based setting
