Outpatient Dermatology Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our busy outpatient dermatology clinic in White Plains, NY. The RN will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting dermatologic procedures, providing patient education, and ensuring efficient clinical operations in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Perform patient intake, including medical history, medication reconciliation, and vital signs Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with dermatologic procedures (biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, laser treatments, cosmetic procedures, etc.) Prepare and maintain sterile fields and procedure rooms Administer medications, injections, and biologics as prescribed Perform wound care and provide post-procedure instructions Triage patient phone calls and electronic messages Patient Education & Support Educate patients on treatment plans, skincare regimens, and medication usage Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions Counsel patients on chronic dermatologic conditions (e.g., acne, psoriasis, eczema) Ensure patient questions and concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner Administrative & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards Coordinate prescription refills and prior authorizations Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to optimize workflow and patient experience Qualifications Active and unrestricted New York State RN license Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred but not required) Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience (dermatology or outpatient experience preferred) Strong knowledge of sterile technique and procedural assistance Experience with EMR systems Excellent communication and patient education skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with dermatologic or cosmetic procedures Familiarity with biologic therapies and specialty medication management Experience with prior authorizations and insurance processes
