Purpose of the Role: This role is responsible for developing, securing, and maintaining a Debian-based Linux distribution. The focus is on managing packages, fixing security vulnerabilities (CVEs), strengthening system hardening, and ensuring the distribution meets enterprise and government security standards. The position ensures the distribution remains stable, secure, and compliant for production environments.

CVE triage & vulnerability remediation Experience in

Debian packaging & distribution engineering Proficiency in

C/C++ and/or Python (systems-level development) Experience with

Secure Boot, UEFI, TPM & boot chain security Knowledge of

security frameworks (STIG, CIS, FIPS 140-x, NIST 800-53) Strong understanding of

secure coding practices Experience with

OpenSSL, GnuTLS, cryptographic toolkits Experience in

patching, backporting & upstream contributions US Citizenship & Onsite in Greater Austin, TX (Mandatory)
