Hotel Manager (Kailua-Kona)

Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Overnight Front Office Manager to oversee all aspects of front office operations during the overnight shift at a luxury resort property. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth guest arrivals and departures, maintaining brand standards, and leading a small overnight team focused on exceptional service and safety. Key Responsibilities Oversee the overnight front office operations, ensuring all standards and procedures are consistently maintained. Provide leadership and direction to overnight staff including front desk, concierge, bell, and security support. Ensure all guest interactions are handled promptly and professionally, resolving issues and service recovery situations effectively. Maintain complete knowledge of hotel services, policies, rates, and occupancy levels to support operational needs. Monitor and assist with check-in/check-out procedures, billing accuracy, and night audit functions. Conduct nightly property walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness. Prepare and adjust staff schedules, monitor attendance, and coordinate shift coverage as needed. Maintain accurate records, including financial transactions, guest incidents, and shift reports. Train and coach overnight team members to deliver consistent, high-level guest experiences. Collaborate with day leadership teams to communicate any operational updates, guest feedback, or maintenance concerns. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience as a Front Desk Supervisor or Assistant Manager, ideally in a luxury or upscale resort environment. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Proficiency with property management systems and front office software. High attention to detail, professional demeanor, and commitment to guest satisfaction. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities overnight. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and remain active throughout the shift.
