Job Description
A well-established Orlando law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant with 2–3 years of experience handling insurance defense matters. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced team supporting attorneys in complex civil litigation cases.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct administrative and litigation support to insurance defense attorneys
Draft, revise, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
E-file documents in Florida state and federal courts
Manage attorney calendars, including hearings, depositions, and deadlines
Coordinate depositions, mediations, and client meetings
Maintain and organize case files (electronic and physical)
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors
Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit binders and witness coordination
Qualifications:
2–3 years of litigation legal assistant experience, preferably in insurance defense
Strong knowledge of Florida court rules and e-filing procedures
Experience with case management and document management systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Professional communication skills and strong work ethic
