Snowflake and ETL expertise

is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing an organization's data architecture to support analytics and business intelligence, with a strong focus on leveraging the Snowflake cloud data platform for scalable data warehousing and the design of

ETL/ELT pipelines .

Key Responsibilities Data Architecture Design:

Define the data requirements and structure for the organization, including designing data warehouses, data lakes, and modern data mesh or lakehouse models, with a focus on Snowflake architecture. ETL/ELT Pipeline Development:

Architect, design, and manage end-to-end data integration solutions and pipelines (batch and real-time) using ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Matillion, Airflow, dbt) or custom scripting with Python/SQL to move data from diverse sources into Snowflake. Snowflake Optimization:

Optimize performance, manage costs, and ensure efficient use of Snowflake features such as virtual warehouses, storage, time travel, zero-copy cloning, and data sharing. Data Modeling and Governance:

Develop and maintain data models (dimensional, normalized, etc.), enforce data architecture principles and standards, and implement robust data governance, security (e.g., RBAC, data masking), quality checks, and compliance policies. Collaboration and Guidance:

Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams. Documentation and Monitoring:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, data flows, and architectural decisions, and monitor and troubleshoot data architecture and ETL operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:

Proven experience in data architecture and engineering, with hands-on expertise in Snowflake and ETL/ELT pipeline design (typically 5-10+ years depending on the seniority of the role). Expertise with the snowflake data platform including data warehousing concepts and performance tuning. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with programming/scripting languages like Python or Spark. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services like S3, ADLS, etc..
