Neighbors Counseling is a trauma-informed, client-centered practice committed to fostering meaningful change through compassionate care. We provide psychotherapy services for children, adults, couples, and groups, tailored to individual needs. In addition to counseling, we offer contracted psychiatric care and are dedicated to mental health promotion and education.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Allen, TX for an Intake and Therapeutic Specialist. The specialist will be responsible for conducting client intake assessments, managing client placement under supervision of the Director of Services/Co-owner, and maintaining a moderate size caseload of clients in therapy. The role is open for Master Level Social Workers and LPC Associates who enjoy diagnostic interviews, clinical administration and working with a manageavle sized client caseload.

Qualifications

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. Experience in Client Intake processes, including gathering information and assessing client needs preferred. Ability to build and maintaining a trauma informed and therapeutic relationship with clients of diverse backgrounds, needs and symptoms required. Must have experience or strong interest in specializing in the identified needs of client who seek Neighbors Counseling marketed services and approach. Ability to independently multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate and organized records treatment plans, and contribution to peer consultantion meetings. Driven to understand and implement the practices model and approach rooted in psychodynamic, person centered, somatic, relational or systems approaches. (CBT, Solution Focused and DBT as secondary only). Must be supervised by in house LPC-S or LCSW-S due to practice philosophy and role of being the practices intake therapist.
