Position Description:
The Regional Manufacturing Development Manager leads the execution and continuous improvement of manufacturing strategy across Minova’s U.S. operations. Reporting to the VP of USA & Mexico, this role connects global manufacturing standards with local plant execution to deliver operational performance, innovation, and scalable best practices across four manufacturing sites.
This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for operational transformation, capital projects, and performance improvement initiatives. The position requires approximately 40–50% travel within the U.S., with occasional participation in global meetings and initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Strategy & Deployment
Implement global manufacturing standards, processes, KPIs, and technologies (MES, automation platforms, digital manufacturing tools) across regional plants.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and labor requirements while maintaining alignment with corporate operational strategy.
Serve as the regional subject-matter expert and change leader for manufacturing systems and operational excellence initiatives.
Localization & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate site-specific operational challenges and adapt global standards when necessary.
Lead structured exception approvals for justified deviations from global processes.
Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven performance analysis.
Capital Projects & Operational Execution
Lead major regional initiatives including plant expansions, line upgrades, new equipment implementation, and technology integration.
Own regional CAPEX planning, vendor management, timelines, and risk mitigation.
Support greenfield launches and production scale-ups.
Performance Management
Own and improve key operational metrics including OEE, yield, cost per unit, and downtime.
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Deliver performance reporting and operational insights to regional and global leadership.
Innovation & Technology
Pilot and evaluate emerging technologies (automation, AI vision systems, robotics, sustainable materials).
Package and communicate results for potential global adoption.
Drive modernization and digital manufacturing initiatives.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with R&D, supply chain, quality, and HR to successfully launch new products and ensure workforce readiness.
Align closely with plant managers to support execution and operational performance.
Team Development & Culture
Recruit, develop, and coach process engineers, project leaders, and operational improvement personnel.
Promote a safety-first culture and support workforce skill development and training initiatives.
Compliance & Sustainability
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, ISO standards, and corporate SHES requirements.
Support audits and implement corrective actions.
Drive initiatives supporting sustainability and operational efficiency goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field)
Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
PMP certification a plus
7–12 years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience
3–5 years managing multi-site or regional operational initiatives
Demonstrated success leading capital projects and process improvement initiatives
Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma programs
