Elder Law & Estate Planning Attorney (Asheville)

A well-established, mid-sized law firm with an excellent reputation in the Asheville area is seeking an experienced Elder Law & Estate Planning Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated planning work, values collaboration, and wants to build a long-term career with a respected firm.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of elder law and/or estate planning experience and be comfortable handling in-depth tax and wealth planning matters. Candidates with experience in probate, elder law, trust/estate administration and other related areas may also be considered. The firm works with a diverse client base and offers exposure to complex and rewarding legal work.

Key Responsibilities Draft and review comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and advanced tax-planning strategies Advise clients on estate, gift, and wealth transfer planning with an emphasis on tax efficiency Collaborate with colleagues on matters involving probate, estate and trust administration, and related issues Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, providing practical and thoughtful guidance Manage matters independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of estate planning experience or experience in elder law, probate, or other related areas. Strong knowledge of estate and gift tax planning concepts Experience or exposure to probate, estate/trust administration, and/or elder law is a plus Excellent drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills Licensed and in good standing to practice law in North Carolina (or ability to obtain licensure)
