Minimum 2 Years Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) for a 13-week contract assignment in Calais, ME. The ER Nurse will provide immediate and compassionate care to patients experiencing acute illnesses or injuries in a fast-paced emergency department environment. Responsibilities: • Assess, plan, and provide nursing care for patients in the emergency department • Quickly triage patients and prioritize care based on severity of condition • Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments as prescribed • Monitor patient condition and respond rapidly to changes • Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and emergency procedures • Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed medical records • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience • Active RN license in the state of Maine or compact license • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required • Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and teamwork skills About United Health Care Staffing, Inc.
