55 Seventy is expanding to Houston and seeking an experienced, driven and passionate
Executive Chef
to lead and build our culinary program in Houston, Texas.
This is a leadership role inside a high-expectation private members club environment. We are looking for a chef who understands standards, systems, hospitality, and financial performance — not just cooking.
Position Overview
The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary operations including à la carte service, events, and banquets. This role is responsible for menu development, food and labor cost management, team leadership, and maintaining a culture of professionalism and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all back-of-house operations
Develop seasonal, member-driven menus
Recruit, train, and develop BOH team leaders and culinary staff
Oversee food cost, inventory, and purchasing
Manage labor budgets and scheduling
Ensure consistency, cleanliness, and execution standards
Oversee banquet and private event production
Build and maintain vendor relationships
Foster a positive, high-performance kitchen culture
Qualifications
5+ years of Executive Chef experience at a nationally recognized fine-dining restaurant with a strong private events operation.
Experience in fine dining, upscale casual, hotel, or private club environments
Proven leadership and team development skills
Strong financial acumen (food cost, labor cost, P&L understanding)
Experience executing both à la carte and high-volume banquet service
Professional, composed, and solutions-oriented demeanor
Able to lead a team of 25+ team members
