Trademark Litigation Senior Associate – Law Firm (New York)

Our client, a successful and sought-after Intellectual Property practice, is seeking a seasoned Trademark Litigator with seven (7) or more years of substantive courtroom and enforcement experience. This represents a foundational chapter for a litigator seeking to expand the complexity, scale, and strategic scope of their practice. The ideal candidate will have been trained in demanding boutique or mid-sized environments and will bring the confidence to operate at a higher level of strategic responsibility within a high-performing IP platform.

Collaborating closely with the Chair of the Intellectual Property Group, partners, and clients, the Senior Associate will lead complex trademark, trade dress, trade secret, and unfair competition disputes in federal and state courts and before the TTAB from initial assessment through resolution. The role requires dispositive motion practice, deposition leadership, discovery strategy (including ESI oversight), and substantive courtroom engagement. It is structured for litigators who are comfortable exercising independent judgment and guiding contested matters through each phase of litigation.

The practice combines boutique level autonomy with institutional depth and a sophisticated client base. The Senior Associate will be expected to take visible ownership of matters, contribute directly to litigation strategy, and cultivate meaningful client relationships. The result is expanded influence, professional stature, and long-term platform stability within a respected IP practice. Qualified candidates will demonstrate leadership in contested Trademark matters, including having led motions and depositions. Compensation includes salary ($255K-to-$275K++), as well as generous bonus and comprehensive benefits. Admission in New York is required. A writing sample will be requested following initial interviews.
