$2360-$2480 Qualifications & Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Med?Surg / acute care nursing experience required (experienced Med?Surg RN) Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current New York State (NYS) RN License required BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred (documentation and med administration) Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and relevant professional certifications Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing care for a caseload of Med?Surg patients Serve as the primary or accountable nurse for assigned patients and ensure continuity of care Provide safe medication administration and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC preferred) Educate patients and families on disease management, discharge planning, and health promotion Maintain compliance with nursing practice standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements Participate in unit?based quality improvement, shared governance, and patient safety initiatives Support orientation and mentoring of new staff and nursing students to foster a positive learning environment Engage in ongoing professional development and mandatory education to maintain clinical competencies If you are a compassionate Registered Nurse with solid Med?Surg and acute care experience seeking travel nursing or local Johnson City, NY nursing jobs, we encourage you to apply.
